Position Overview
The Staff Cloud Engineer solves technical problems for the Cloud Operations, Engineering & Data teams partnering with teammates across the company leading the transformation of business problems into technical solutions. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining our continuous delivery framework with effective tools and processes to develop, build and deploy products for our customers. They aid the team in evolving our technical cloud infrastructure foundation supporting product development and product delivery with a view to accelerate value delivery, developer efficiency and service observability. They must have a personal drive and a willingness to roll-up your sleeves to make things happen.

A Staff Cloud Engineer is a senior-level professional responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's cloud infrastructure. They possess a deep understanding of cloud computing principles, services, and best practices, acting as technical leaders and mentors within their teams.

This position is remote within the United States.

Role Objectives and Responsibilities
-Improving and maintaining the CI/CD framework
-Autonomously create technology solutions and models 
-Providing hands-on technical guidance to the Service Reliability, Product Development and Data teams
-Integrating security and secure development practices/tools/methodologies into our platform and systems architecture
-Participate in experiments to evaluate new technologies and methodologies to accelerate project delivery
-Partner with Service Reliability teams to help architect & provision operational dashboards for day-to-day platform monitoring needs
-Tackle complex and critical issues within the cloud environment.
-Ensure cloud resources are performant, cost effective and optimized for N-Power’s data workloads
-Develop and implement automation scripts and tooling for provisioning and deploying cloud resources
-Work with compliance to ensure the infrastructure and cloud services meet all the compliance and security requirements

Education, Experience, Behavioral Competencies, & Skills
-5+ years of Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, DevOps, and Service Reliability Engineering
-Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field
-Technical Expertise In:
-Public cloud infrastructure such as AWS leveraging Terraform
-Docker containers running on Kubernetes - Strong experience in Kubernetes 
-Log Aggregation Tools like SumoLogic, ELK, or Splunk
-Coding (python strongly preferred)
-Bash Scripting
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with a strong sense of ownership and personal accountability
-Strong cross team collaboration and cross functional communication skills 
-You thrive working in a fast-paced, and dynamic environment
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Experienced in data intensive environments and/or platforms is a plus
-Experienced with highly regulated data sets or industries (i.e. Healthcare) is a plus
-Generous, Curious and Humble

Travel Requirements 
Ability to travel may be required from time to time.

Pay Information
The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 and $183,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. N-Power Medicine (NPM) offers equity at hire as well as a discretionary annual bonus which may be available based on Company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits.
